Miami Swim Week 2018 Recap

It was that time of the year again. The weekend where every bikini business, model, and blogger waits for in the Swim Industry, minus the humidity and automatic poof of the hair the minute you step out of your hotel! An event planned a year in advance. Something all cannot wait to experience. The time of the year is Miami Swim Week. The biggest launch of the swim industry where we get to see what all our brands have been working SO hard on! After checking into the W Hotel in Miami, it was pure craziness for the next 72 hours! From buying appointments to front row seats at the fashion shows, it really is quite the experience, you always come back so empowered! Yew! It’s always a pleasure meeting with all of our brands we get to work with on a daily basis. Our favorite time of the year has come and gone but we are now so happy to share a recap of some of our favorite brands!

Acacia, since day one Acacia Swimwear has been in our boutique and has been one of our top sellers. This season we were thrown for a shock when they revealed their new amazing neon colorway, Neon Magnolia. So bright on the eyes, we know this color way is going to be a hot-huge-hit! As Acacia is known for their prints, their Dragon Stripe will also be a hot seller this season! For Acacia clothing, oh so appealing on the eye, flows nicely on the body, we loved seeing all the new pieces and will continuously keep carrying it. Shop all Acacia Swimwear here!

Mikoh, another amazing brand in our online boutique with sister duo Kalani and Oleema killing it with their tropical prints and bursts of color. With a passion for leaf prints, Oleema loves the new Island Ukulele and Birds of Paradise Jungle Print. Oh so tropical! Shop all Mikoh Swimwear here!

Frankies, Francesca and Mama Mimi killed it once again. With a Golden State of Mind, every suit in the collection is inspired by the “Golden State.” Frankie’s appeared to have its feminine appeal and showcased more sophisticated than ever! Taking cues from the 90’s and appearing more-sporty than ever, It has been so awesome to see how the brand has become one of the top swimwear lines in the industry. Haven’t you all seen the latest billboard on Melrose of them, Hello! Shop all Frankies Swimwear here!

Tavik- Having made the switch to begin manufacturing in LA, we love Tavik even more so now! Completely killing it with their first fashion show in Miami this year, it was so exciting to see how far they have come, especially since their HQ is right up the street from us! Giving off a retro appeal and a clean cut vibe, Tavik is making a huge debut in the bikini market and Vida cannot wait for you guys to shop it on our site!

Rove, Known for their sexy cuts, intricate crochet and ultimate string bikinis’, this year Rove went with the theme ‘Senorita.’ She is a hot summer day, the girl from the exotic sea, a dainty flower balancing from her ear, if you know Rove, you know this explains the line to-a-t. With a vintage 70’s flare, the mustard color, flower power retro babe wearing white sunglasses appeal’ is in full affect this season!

Beach Riot: Party In the streets riot in the Beach is a motto we will never forget! The local Newport native Nicole Hanriot continuously makes us fall in love every time we see the new line. California cool meets modern magnetism with edge, we love Beach Riot. From one of the first ones to have studs on their bikinis to the classy cuts, you just cant go wrong! Did we mention the clothing? Always a killer in the denim department the stripes and sheer are bound to be a hit too!

Issa De Mar: Whenever you think of Issa De Mar, the first thing that comes to mind is clear waters, island life, and living amongst the palms. It all comes to reality when designer babes Melissa and Marissa set out to make their vision come to life when their passion for surfing and bikini design came to reality. While Issa has a feminine appeal you better bet your suit is staying on for all your sport activities! This seasons olive color is sure to be a hit!

All in all Miami Swim Week was a hit as always! Meeting with everyone, the fashion shows it definitely takes time to recover but is all so worth it! Everyone single one of our brands is going to kill it this season and we cannot wait for you guys to see everything!
